Awesome! Fidelity Unveils New Fidelity YouVue™ App That Turns Your Retirement Projections Into Photorealistic Renderings Of Your Future Life

The tool refreshes several times a day, converting each market move into a rendering of the retirement it now implies. A dip downgrades the wine.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fidelity Investments Launches Fidelity YouVue™: An AI-Powered Retirement Visualization Tool That Shows Whether You’ll Enjoy Duckhorn Cabernet Or Sam’s Club Pinot Noir In Retirement

Fidelity Investments today announced the launch of Fidelity YouVue, a new, no-cost enhancement to its retirement planning suite that leverages the power of artificial intelligence to deliver photorealistic renderings of clients’ future lifestyles. Built directly into Fidelity’s existing calculators, YouVue is designed to help investors “move beyond the abstraction of numbers” by showing them—in vivid, AI-generated imagery—whether they are on track for a sunset yacht cruise or a buzzing fluorescent bulb above a can of tuna.

“Every financial services company is embracing AI, and Fidelity is proud to bring this innovation to the retirement planning space,” said Andrea Hall, VP of Digital Retirement Innovation at Fidelity. “By combining the same Monte Carlo simulations we’ve always used with cutting-edge AI rendering, we can finally show clients what an 80% income replacement rate actually looks like: warm pendant lighting and Duckhorn cabernet, or cold shop lights and Sam’s Club Member’s Mark pinot noir.”

YouVue runs quietly in the background of Fidelity’s existing retirement tools, updating lifestyle renderings multiple times per day as markets fluctuate. A small dip in the S&P 500 may downgrade your Northern Italian vacation villa to a roadside Airbnb near Tampa. A larger correction could instantly replace your mid-century modern light fixtures with buzzing fluorescent tubes, and swap your artisanal charcuterie board for a stale sleeve of saltines.

Key features of Fidelity YouVue™ include:

  • Dynamic LifeStyle Downgrade™: Models your income trajectory against wine quality, automatically adjusting your glass from Duckhorn Vineyards to Member’s Mark house red when contribution rates dip below target.
  • AI Rendering Engine™: Uses advanced machine learning to decide whether your future kitchen includes Design Within Reach bar stools or a single folding chair near the microwave.
  • Lighting Impact Simulation™: Translates portfolio performance into lighting scenarios, from dimmable Edison bulbs (strong market years) to flickering garage fluorescents (weak years).
  • Motivational Alerts: Push notifications provide real-time updates, such as, “Today’s market drop means your grandchildren just canceled their visit,” or “Congrats! A strong rally upgraded your mattress from futon to Tempur-Pedic.”

“Our research shows that clients don’t always respond to line graphs,” said Tom Yee, Senior Director of Behavioral Finance at Fidelity. “But when they see a photorealistic image of themselves eating reheated pasta under buzzing fluorescent lights, they immediately increase their 401(k) contributions. This is what AI was made for.”

Early beta testers have already reported significant behavior changes. “At first the app showed me smiling on a river cruise with tasteful pendant lighting,” said one client. “Then the Nasdaq dipped, and suddenly I was shown drinking boxed wine alone in a La-Z-Boy. I logged in and raised my contributions by 3% that afternoon.”

Fidelity insists that YouVue is “not about fear” but about transparency. “We want clients to understand the real-world implications of their savings decisions,” said Maya Douglas, Head of Experience Design at Fidelity. “If AI shows you Tuscan vineyards instead of a Motel 6 pool, and that nudges you to save more, then it’s serving its purpose.”

Fidelity YouVue™ is available in the app today, free of charge, to all retirement planning clients. For Fidelity NetBenefits Clients, ‘Side-by-Side Mode’ allows users to compare their AI-rendered lifestyle under current savings versus what they could unlock by increasing contributions just 2% more.
